SU23 8U Mustang Baseball (Boys 1st-2nd Grade) (2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR)
Player must currently be in 1st-2nd grade *verification may be required.
Program will focus on skills and fundamentals. There will be games played against area communities. Coaches pitch.
Season will tentatively start the week of May 8, and end the week of June 26. There will typically be either 1-2 practices per week or 1 practice and 1 game per week.
Games will start the first week of July and be in the evening on Monday and/or Wednesday, starting no earlier than 5:30 p.m. Practice day of the week will be based on field availability. Practices will be in Pequot or Breezy, there will be some traveling required for games. All transportation will be the responsibility of the parents/guardians.
It is strongly recommended that players wear baseball pants or sweats (they will learn to slide) and tennis shoes or cleats (no metal cleats allowed). Team jerseys will be provided (thanks to business sponsors). Players must provide their own glove & helmet (players can no longer share helmets due to COVID). If players do not have a helmet, there will be a limited number of helmets available to check out for the season. A deposit may be required.
Registration deadline = April 16, 2023; registrations accepted after April 16 only if space is available & will be charged a late fee. Registrations received after April 30 may not receive a team jersey.
